Where I stand:
I do consider myself as a centrist in mind and heart. I was inclined to support the Iraq war on the basis of the integrity of our international institutions demanding that Saddam comply with the U.N. consensus, and their subsequent resolutions (all 16 of them I think). I believe that trade is good, and that the more liberalized a society and its economy the more vibrant the prospects of opportunity and lifting people out of poverty are for all. I also believe that taxation has to be closely managed, and that an excessive tax burden upon people of all income brackets isn't consistent with the principles required for governance over an expanding, growing, stabile economy.
